Shredder is for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information through the app, contact us so we can delete it.
We do not collect contacts, location, advertising IDs, or browsing history.
All photos you submit must depict you in appropriate athletic clothing (e.g. shorts, sports bra, tank top, gym attire). Nudity, sexually suggestive content, and content involving minors in a compromising context are strictly prohibited.
Submitted photos are transmitted to Anthropic's Claude AI service for fitness analysis. Claude returns estimated scores (physique, body composition, muscle-group feedback) which we display in the app. Photos are stored on our backend only as long as needed for analysis and are automatically deleted within 30 days.
All scores and body-composition figures produced by Shredder are AI estimates based on visual analysis. They are not medical measurements, not a diagnosis, and not a substitute for professional medical or fitness advice.
Some of your data stays on your device and some is stored on our servers.
On your device (encrypted on-device storage): your profile details, streak history, scan scores, badges, and notification preferences. Uninstalling Shredder erases this local data, and you can reset it anytime from the Profile screen.
On our servers: your Apple sign-in identifier, your email (if Apple provides it), your chosen username, and the records we use to manage your subscription and free scan. Submitted photos are stored temporarily and deleted within 30 days, as described above.
Clubs are private groups you create or join by invite. If you join a club, your username and gym-consistency stats (such as your verified check-in count) are stored on our servers to build that club's leaderboard.
A club can rank members by physique score, but only with your explicit consent: your latest physique score is shared with a club only if you turn on score sharing for that specific club. You can turn it off at any time, which removes your score from that club's ranking, and you can leave a club whenever you like. Your body-fat percentage is never shared on any leaderboard. Physique scores shown to a club are AI estimates, not medical measurements.
The only third-party service that receives your photos is Anthropic (Claude), used solely for AI analysis as described above. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
With your permission, Shredder schedules local notifications (streak reminders, weekly progress summaries, badge teasers). These are generated and delivered entirely on your device — no push notification service is involved.
You can reset all profile data from the Profile screen at any time. You can delete your account (and the data stored on our servers) from the Profile screen. You can also revoke camera, photo library, and notification permissions in iOS Settings → Shredder.
